This has to be the lowest of the low. Lower than snake poop. Fortunately, I didn’t believe it. Especially when a second mail came asking for a few hundred dollars (which I can’t afford anyway). When you win, you win, no hiding it, no having to pay anythin. Where do they get e-mail addresses from? I don’t even want to use the internet any more if it’s this unsafe. There are so many predators of all scaly kinds out there. What can I do to help prevent this?

Fortunately, I surmised this scam was indeed a scam. They’ve cleaned up their act somewhat since 20 April. Fewer typos, with the exception of, “then be glad this day as the result of the UK lotto online e-mai address free-ticket winning draws of 29th June 2007…” Also, “Your email addresses was entered” Same ticket number/same Lucky Number! Contact is Mr. Thomas Hua, email-address: apexdelexpress17@yahoo.com.hk.
Let the buyer continue to beware…

Dear Winner,
The prestigious Microsoft and AOL has set out and successfully organised a Sweepstakes marking this year anniversary, we rolled out over 10,000.000.00 (Ten million Great Britain Pounds) for this year Anniversary Draws. Participants for the draws were randomly selected and drawn from a wide range of web hosts which we enjoy their patronage.
The selection was made randomly from World Wide Web site through a computer draw system extracted from over 100,000 individuals and companies, attaching email addresses to ticket numbers. If you ignore this, you will regret it later. Microsoft and AOL are now the largest Internet companies and in an effort to make sure that Internet Explorer remains the most widely used program, Microsoft and AOL are running an e-mail better test.
Your email address as indicated was drawn and attached to ticket number 008795727498 with serial numbers BTD/9080648302/06 and drew the lucky numbers 14-21-25-39-40-47(20) which subsequently won you 1,000,000.00 (One Million Great Britain Pounds) as one of the 10 jackpot winners in this draw. You have therefore won the sum of 1,000,000.00 (One Million Great Britain Pounds). A Bunch of scammers!!!! Why on earth do they need to know your marital status and YOUR ANNUAL INCOME!!! If you give out this kind of information to someone that you do not know along with your address and phone number then you deserve to be scammed!!! wake up and consider the last time you won any lottery and had to send them money!!!
The people behind the scam make alot of money from gullible people there are millions of scams out there and millions more people willing to be duped by these people.
The internet is full of scams, I found this particular website by just tying into my search engine the reply email address of the phishing email I found in my junk email box, needless to say I knew this be a scam because of research be like me and check before you send a cheque.

I received this same email, but the dude is different (Mr. Gabriel Jones). I replied back to him just to give him a piece of my mind. Usually they claim the money for you to send is for “insurance”. It should be insurance that you will not show up at their door with Guido to kick their butts up to their throats! HaHaHaHa. I received a reply from my response and the guy claimed to be the CFO and that he is a man of his word. I won’t believe it. I reported the email to the internet crimes unit. If you want to report these jerks, you send an email to the same email address it comes from, except you change the name abuse@, and then the email address you received it from. Shortly after that you will receive a reply from Yahoo or whatever email client they used to screw you over, and then you register your complaint with them. It works!

I won a 3 day pass whil I was in the Military just for showing up on time once.
I even won a whole $20.00 US On a Texas Lotto Scrach off.
The point is that these were all Legit Lottery games I have
had the chance to play and I will probable play some more, who knows I may even win the Mega Millions Texas Lotto game. ALl ligit Loto will never ask for any personal info. That should be the first clue, the second clue and most obvious it the sendes E-mail. and if that is not enough then you know that when they ask for money in advanced it is a Rip. I usually put that king of E-mail with the rest of the junk, like the rich gu from Uganda who had no realitives want to leave his money to you…..Duh. I think that if people really looked and maybe the Federal Government and Our Allies would see that it is probable a front for terrorist groups financial backing. But that is just me

Sir / Madam,
2 days ago I got an e-mail message from Mr. Raja Ben, that I´ve won 4.1 Mil $ in the UK lottery organization. I´m surprised as I´ve never played in your lotto system. Can you please respond and tell me if this information is something I can take serious. Up to now I really doubt this. My attorney told me I should address this kind of “winner handling” to the German police department.
Now I get once again an e-mail from your agent Raja Ben with the content below.
Attention: Hans-Dieter Over,
I tried to call you,no response.
Am writing to inform you to present this office with a letter of Authourization/Power of Attorney to return your winnings check to the Headquarters office of the Uk Lottery Organization as unclaimed funds.since you are not ready to claim your winning price.
As i look forward to your swift response.
Best regard’s,
Agent Raja Ben

It is illegal for lotterys to charge money for shipping and other fees. They deduct it from the prize.

if any of this junk was true, i could pay off the national debt,i have gotten at least 50 of these from almost every country in the world, it should be a way to stop this kind of useless email that just clutter up every computer in the world! where do they get the addresses from? i get some that is actually threatning me about things that if they knew that ,they should be able to come to my front door with the cash, yes right!!!all is scams, what if someone actually win, and think it is a scam,, uncle Sam would be aufel disappointed about not getting that kind of taxes from the winners, now that should be enough to get the government involved in somekind of investigation, maby help get rid of the pleag
