If you find the math in relativity fun, great, but relativity is not going to help anyone. It never has. Pick up a Bible in between some equations.

Andy Schlafly must not be aware that the Global Positioning System needs to correct for errors introduced by relativistic effects.

Also, let us not forget that whole E = mc2 thing…

Pat Robertson says Haiti paying for ‘pact to the devil’

PAT ROBERTSON: And, you know, Kristi, something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it. They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III and whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, “We will serve you if you will get us free from the French.” True story. And so, the devil said, “OK, it’s a deal.”

And they kicked the French out. You know, the Haitians revolted and got themselves free. But ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after the other. Desperately poor. That island of Hispaniola is one island. It’s cut down the middle. On the one side is Haiti; on the other side is the Dominican Republic. Dominican Republic is prosperous, healthy, full of resorts, et cetera. Haiti is in desperate poverty. Same island. They need to have and we need to pray for them a great turning to God. And out of this tragedy, I’m optimistic something good may come. But right now, we’re helping the suffering people, and the suffering is unimaginable.

KRISTI WATTS (co-host): Absolutely, Pat.

Radical cleric Pat Robertson weighs in on yet another tragedy giving it his own “special” spin. He must be truly a shit of human being to be able to put such a spin on the deaths of thousands of people.

Ignorant or Lying

We report, you decide:

rantings of an insane idiot

The author of the above post, also posted the response (typos are preserved):

mikey, on September 21st, 2009 at 4:02 pm Said:

President Obama fromhis book Audacity of Hope: ‘I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.’

It took less than 2 minutes to find out the source of the quote (a right wing email that’s been making the rounds). Here’s what FactCheck.org has to say:

A second false quote has Obama saying he would “stand with the Muslims,” words that don’t appear in his book. What he actually said is that he would stand with American immigrants from Pakistan or Arab countries should they be faced with something like the forced detention of Japanese-American families in World War II:

Misleading e-mail: From Audacity of Hope: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

Actual quote from “The Audacity of Hope” [pg. 261]: Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.

Obama did not say he would side with “the Muslims,” which could easily be read as meaning he would side with the world’s Muslim population even if it meant working outside the best interests of the United States. He said he would side with “them,” referring back to his mention of immigrant communities and specifically to “Arab and Pakistani Americans.” Furthermore, he was speaking of an “ugly direction” like the mass internment of Japanese Americans.

This false quote goes hand in hand with the equally false rumor that Obama is a Muslim.

It’s pretty clear the quote is taken out of context and has nothing much to do with Israel. Obama was clearly speaking of something like a mass internment of Muslims like that of Japanese Americans during WWII. Are we to assume the author of the post/comment was intellectually incurious about the alleged Obama quote because it fit his world view, or is he willfully spreading a lie?

I find his lack of faith disturbing

Pat Robertson has heart surgery

“The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) announced today that its founder and Chairman, Pat Robertson, has returned home after extensive heart surgery at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. Mr. Robertson has suffered a condition known as atrial fibrillation, an often-debilitating heart disorder involving shortness of breath and weakness affecting an estimated five million Americans… Robertson said, ‘Only the prayers of thousands of believing people kept me on this earth. As it is, I anticipate many more years of creative service in the ministry I founded (CBN), as well as Regent University and other endeavors devoted to the service of mankind. I cannot praise enough the dedication and professionalism of Dr. Andy Kiser and his staff who removed this growth from my continuously beating heart.”

Apparently Radical Cleric Pat Robertson has insufficient faith that Jesus would have healed his heart. Also, “the prayers of thousands of believing people” didn’t seem to help much either.

Perhaps Pat Robertson suffering from atrial fibrillation is a sign of God’s displeasure with him.

The latest Jennifer Aniston fornication movie

More nonsense. The media in this country is very liberal and very Leftist. It is clearly anti-God and pro immorality. I would not want to be in charge of America’s cultural exchange program with other countries. What would I send them? Television programs like Brothers and Sisters or Grey’s Anatomy or Desperate Housewives? The latest Jennifer Anniston fornication movie?

The evolution worldview encourages people to deny God’s authority in their lives. We must accept evolution, not because of science but so we can deny God. Just read the God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.

God bless,
Al

Al650, Evolution Fairytale Forum

  1. If the media in this country were truly very liberal and very Leftist, we wouldn’t have had eight years of George W. Bush.

  2. American television programs and movies are very popular in other countries.

  3. When did Jennifer Aniston start doing porn? ;)

  4. Many, if not most Christians accept evolution

  5. I bet Al has never read The God Delusion nor any other book by Richard Dawkins.

This is just my opinion. The world wid web and google are not of God,they belong to the god of this world. No good can come from the web,it will ultimately destroy humanity.I dont doubt that the Internet controls the world more everyday.Something with so much power that is not of God,is to me a beast.I think google will one day own us and everything else and unless we are part of it,we wont be able to by or sell.Any thoughts?

Religious Forums

Any thoughts? There’s the obvious irony of finding this screed on the WWW. The author must believe spelling, whitespace after punctuation, and good grammar must also “belong to the god of this world.”

GOP Rep. To Environmentalists: Jesus Already Saved The Planet

“[Pelosi] is committed to her global warming fanaticism to the point where she has said that she’s just trying to save the planet,” Bachmann told the right-wing news site OneNewsNow. “We all know that someone did that over 2,000 years ago, they saved the planet — we didn’t need Nancy Pelosi to do that.”

[I]f you get into that business where those who are involved in martial arts, before they start, are actually inhaling some demon spirits (some of them do that, by the way) that, uh, enormous strength comes about, not from a human source, but from a demonic source. You don’t want to have anything to do with any of that.
