Shouting out to all the Riversiders. This is Carl, 2nd Baritone from Streamliners ‘68
to Riversiders ‘69-’71. The things we achieved in the Riversiders stand forever. People, women and marriages come and go but I loved the corps with my whole heart.
Don, James (snare),Cheryl (Rifle) and I even taught a 3rd corp after River 2.
To John Chalums and Don Vanscoy, I was always proud to play your music and march in your line. After my father, you’re the two most important and pivotol men in my life. I’ll never forget you. I’ll never forget corps and what we did. I still sing Laredo, Mission Impossible, Sunny, Lucretia McEvil, Ecstasy Of Gold, Hang Em High, Camelot, Slaves and Wild Wild West.

Hi… just looking at some of these entries. There are two groups you might want to look into on facebook. Before you pooh, pooh facebook… a TON of drum corps nuts use that to keep in touch. But back to the groups on there: Drum Corps of CNY (everybody) Mello Dears. Hope this helps!

This is for Bob Love from the Jersey Cyclones. Myself and Bob Dixon of Woodbridge played snare for the Cyclones in 62, 63 …. I left and started practicing with BS in the winter of 63 ~ 64 however, I was drafted the summer of 64. Did a couple tours in VN, got out and went to school. Jerry Montamuoro and Ronnie Brennon got me to the Knights.

I am wondering who made the entry back in October 2007 about playing snare for the Jersey Cyclones of Matawan. (They were actually from Keyport, not Matawan.) It was by someone named Bob. I, too, played in the Cyclones snare line during the 1963 season and then joined the snare line for the BS Golden Knights. I played with them from late 1963 until 1966. This other Bob said he came to SAC (I assume BSGK) and marched in a parade. I don’t remember that, but it was a lot of years ago. If that other Bob is still out there and reading this would you please respond? I am really curious.
