I’ve got Mike Nelson’s Movie Megacheese, and it was pretty damn good, IMHO. If you’re a MST3K fan you should enjoy it.
You do have to let me know how Mike Nelson’s Death Rat: A Novel is, but with a name like that it’s got to be great… Hell, I’d just take it to work for the weird looks I’d get from my cow-workers….
This sounds interesting…but it this part of a series where it would be better to start with a previous book?
I always like new FUN things to read (and Sci-Fi/Fantasy are enjoyable as a break from some of the heavy political stuff I follow via blogging and reading.)
Yes, Eric is part of the Discworld series. Though many of these books are stand alone, Eric is a continuation of The Color of Magic, The Light Fantastic, and Sourcery.
Good Omen’s is one of the better works of fantasy to come out the genre in a while. All the more fitting in these crazy Bushian times of “the latter years”. If you decide a taste of Gaiman makes you want more, try “American Gods” or “The Anansi Boys”.
I’m currently reading American Gods. I’m really enjoying it.
I second “American Gods” far darker than “Good Omens”.
Actually, Good Omen’s is not part of Discworld.
Anyway, last week, just before reading this post, my partner and I drove 22 hours from Minnesota to DC. Without a CD player, we bought another copy of GO (most GO fans have two or more copies, I’ve found) and read it to each other on the drive. Good times.
I don’t think anyone said it was part of the Discworld series (The comments were actually referring to Eric, which was listed here a long time ago).
